+{{ :blog:2019-08-22:w7li.png}}Around 19:00 tonight (Thursday), I managed to hear a Net on [[https://www.repeaterbook.com/repeaters/details.php?state_id=41&ID=386 |W7LI]].  This repeater is about 450 km south of the Coast and 100 km south-west of Portland.  It's over 3000 feet above sea level and transmits at 100W on the same frequency and tone as our repeater.  It also IDs on voice.
+The net was short (5 - 10 minutes) but a few people started ragchewing after.  I tried to give a call but no-one came back. The band slowly faded away by around 19:25.
